"Julia was a great match for me in communicating style - she actively listens to every tiny detail, and has a way of explaining that really helped me understand and process what we were discussing. The main issues I went to Julia with were freezing/struggling to find words when faced with anger/confrontation, as well as self-esteem and self-confidence issues, both of which have been enormously helped through treatment. I know it's quite a journey and she gave me the skills needed, but I feel like my time with Julia has been hugely game-changing.".
"I saw Julia during a period in my life when I was going through a number of changes and I found her to be attentive and insightful. She helped me work through underlying issues and current concerns giving me practical tools to use going forwards. I highly recommend her."
"I visited Julia as I wanted to explore some emotions I was feeling in relation to friendship issues, which had recently surfaced. Julia was friendly and approachable and the setting was comfortable. Over seven sessions we explored my feelings and beliefs and used some simple techniques to change the way I process my thoughts and view situations. I now have tools to hand if I face similar events in the future. I highly recommend Julia’s service."
"I came to Julia after feeling disillusioned after a previous therapy experience. I was suffering from severe depression and while I knew that I needed a talking therapy, I was nervous about starting with anyone new. From the first session with Julia I knew that I had found the right therapist for me. She put me instantly at ease and the room where the sessions take place is calming and comfortable. Julia is compassionate and insightful, and suggests proactive approaches at the appropriate time. Over our sessions, Julia was able to help me identify how to spot negative though processes and suggest constructive ways to deal with them. Her help in getting me to reframe these negative thought processes has been life changing and has been an instrumental factor in helping me with my depression. As a result of attending sessions with Julia I am more in control and am able to practice a number of helpful techniques to help me in everyday challenging situations. However, most importantly, I am feeling generally happier with my life. I would have no hesitation in recommending Julia."
"I really enjoyed our sessions and found them extremely helpful. I have been working Julia's recommendations a lot myself and have thought so much about the work we have done and the issue of my control and my core beliefs. I have found that at times I have been much more able to identify thoughts and manage my responses to emotions and feel that since our sessions I have a much better understanding of how my reactivity all works."
Julia has helped me overcome my personal challenges through therapy which has improved my mental health and how I approach obstacles and situations that were previously challenging. The range of exercises we tried alongside taking the time to discuss any concerns, thought patterns and other factors such as sleep and hobbies helped me feel more comfortable to start making changes in all areas of my life. Julia’s kindness and empathy actively reminded me that I wasn’t alone in this journey and I am forever grateful to have spoken to such a wonderful person in the mental health field.
"When I first started sessions with Julia, my anxiety day-to-day felt overwhelming but I finished my first session confident that I was getting the help I needed and after 3 months of regular sessions with her - both online and in person - I feel so much more confident in managing my mental health. I also now feel comfortable in the knowledge I have found a therapist I would happily return to if I need help again in the future."
"As a stoic person I have always had a strong degree of therapy-hesitancy, until I started to see Julia. She gently and masterfully peeled off layer after layer of my hesitancy and helped me to articulate my deep inner pain, realise it’s causes and how to try and manage and overcome it. I can’t thank her enough. I hope you don’t need to see a therapist, but if you do go and see Julia".
"Julia’s warm disposition and friendly approach to therapy really makes you feel at home and comfortable to talk. Julia has helped me to explore different ways of thinking and how to manage my emotions and feelings. She’s been a great help!"
"My self worth has improved, I no longer feel depressed and I have identified for myself what kind of parent and wife I want to be as well as learned how to set some boundaries to protect myself and remain in control when I am faced with challenges. Julia helped me so much to face my fears and recognise what challenges I might face, what I can do about them and where most importantly how to deal with discomfort"
I have been a client of Julia's for over a year and found her to be a grounded a compassionate support during a difficult patch that I experienced following several big life changes. Working with her helped me to break out of modes and patterns of unhelpful thinking and use CBT tools to recognise goals, adjust behaviour and therefore my mood. She offered a calm and professional environment to discuss issues around anxiety and self-esteem, and myself, friends and family recognised great progress in my mental health during the course of our sessions. Her practical and empathetic approach gets to the root of difficulties you may be experiencing and helps immensely in moving forward from past anxieties.
I just want to say thank you as always for creating such a safe space for me to vent. I’ve become such a braver person and put myself first more since seeing you. This morning I shared with D exactly what was on my mind and felt so much lighter for it."
